This episode features a historically significant boxing match between James J. Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons in 1897. It was the first widescreen film in the 63mm film format and was also the world's first feature film at 90-100 minutes, although only fragments still survive today. It was added to the National Film Registry in 2012.
